چکیده
Cümbüş çalgısı, Geleneksel Türk müziği içerisinde, kullanılan bir eşlik çalgısıdır. Anadolu coğrafyası üzerindeki Güneydoğu bölgesinde, Trakya yöresinde sıklıkla ve hemen her yörede kendine yer bulmuş çalgıdır. Günümüzde, popüler müzik kültüründe yapılan albüm çalışmalarında da oldukça sık çalgı haline gelmiştir. çalgısını farklı ülkelerdeki yorumcularının icracılarının kullanmaya başladığı görülmektedir. Önemli icracı örnekleri arasında Türkiye’de; Salih Korkut Peker, Fatih Ahıskalı, Cafer Nazlıbaş, Amerika’da Ara Dinkjiyan, Pink Floyd grubundan David Gilmour, İngiliz rock halk müzisyeni Lu Edmonds, bu çalışmada ele alınacaktır. Çalışma, cümbüş çalgısının türlerinde kullanımının karşılaştırılması, bazı icracıların tanıtılması, hakkında bilgi verilerek belgelerin yazıya aktarılması amaçlanmıştır.
